Many of U dread holiday weekends because it means extra cooking for you to take to those weekend get-togethers. Make it fun and fabulous by adding a sexy twist to this normally dreadful task.
How many of U cook in heels? Wear a negligee? Drink a mimosa and play some great music? Not many of U probably and that is Ur problem!! If U feel great while doing the most mundane tasks it won’t be mundane any longer.
I recently started hitting the gym and bootcamp pretty hard so when I get a chance to get an extra workout in that doesn’t mean push ups, squats and running laps I take it. That chance is doing anything and everything in heels!!! Yes my 5 inchers!! Tonight after hitting the gym and taking a very long pampering shower I put on a pair of my favorites, a negligee, made myself a mimosa, put on some John Legend, took a deep breath and then began to cook!!! Cooking doesn’t sound too mundane at my house now does it?
When U feel fabulous everything is a little bit more fun and if U have a special someone hanging around he’s going to enjoy U cooking when U do it my way and U just might get a little help in the kitchen! Not bad for a Friday night!
The dish I made this evening is actually a really easy one because I didn’t start cooking until late so I didn’t want to make one of my cumbersome dishes. I will save those for tomorrow and yes I will be wearing heels and drinking a mimosa while doing it!!
A quick healthy snack/dessert that I made this evening to take to a Sunday Funday was Peanut Butter Rice Krispy Treats.
1/2 cup natural honey
1/2 cup peanut butter (my favorite is Jif creamy but U can use whatever Ur favorite is)
1 packet of vemma’s bode protein
6 cups of rice kris pies cereal
Non-stick spray
Glass shallow baking sheet
1 container of visalus crunch fusions (these are optional I normally make these without but I had an extra container and the kids like to see the colored berry like crunches and it adds some color to an otherwise dull dish.
Put honey and peanut butter into a microwave safe container, heat until melted, usually about 1 1/2 minutes. Stir halfway through. Once melted add the packet (2 scoops) of protein powder. Mix well
Measure out 6 cups of cereal into a large bowl. Pour in the crunch fusions. Pour peanut butter/honey/protein mixture over the cereal and mix until all of the cereal is covered with the mixture
Spray the glass baking sheet with the non-stick spray and pour the cereal mixture in the pan. Spread evenly then put into the refrigerator to set.
Extremely easy, healthy and they are Fabulously Delicious.
